Meet True South Solar Installer Tahvo Hansen.
What got you interested in the solar field?
Growing up around the industry, I got to see firsthand how solar systems are designed and installed. That sparked my interest in renewable energy, and I really enjoy the mix of electrical work, construction, and problem-solving. I also like knowing the work has a positive impact for homeowners and the environment.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the sun?
I love getting outside. Whether it’s mountain biking, snowboarding, surfing, or just spending time in nature, I’m happiest when I’m active outdoors.
What brought you to True South Solar?
I’ve always wanted hands-on experience in the solar industry, and True South Solar gives me the opportunity to learn from experienced installers while building skills that will help me pursue a long-term career in renewable energy.
What are you most looking forward to while working here?
I’m excited to learn as much as I can about every part of the installation process, improve my electrical and construction skills, and work alongside a team that takes pride in doing quality work.
What do you see as the future of solar?
I think solar will continue to become more affordable and more common, especially as battery storage, smart home technology, and electric vehicles become more connected. I see renewable energy playing a huge role in the future, and I’m excited to be part of an industry that’s growing and constantly improving.
