Q: What is your role on the True South Solar team?
I’m currently a licensed LRT (Limited Renewables Technician) Solar Electrician. I am an installer that specializes in rooftop installations. I started in November 2015.
Q: What’s your favorite part of the job?
I enjoy knowing that the work I do every day is making a difference. After seeing the finished product I feel good, a hard day’s work is worth the effort.
Q: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned since joining the team?
I learned about the importance of teamwork, communication, and safety. We take our time installing the best job we can, the safest way possible.
Q: When did you first start thinking about solar?
I started thinking about solar after hearing of events like the Exxon Valdez oil spill and the Iraq war, as well as knowing that fossil fuel resources are limited. Solar seems like a better solution to meet our energy demands.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in the sun?
I enjoy spending my time with my wife and kids. You can often find me working in my wood shop, brewing beer, drinking beer, snow boarding, biking, and just enjoying all that Southern Oregon has to offer.
