Q: What is your role on the True South Solar team?

I'm a solar installer and I'm about to enter the LRT (Limited Renewables Technician) apprentice program. I end up being a bit of a jack of all trades, depending on what needs to be done at the job site.

Q: What’s your favorite part of the job?

I have a lot of favorites! I love the crew I work with, it's a cool team. It's great getting to work outside in the valley here, I love seeing it from so many angles on the roofs. And I'm humbled to be doing a job that has such a passionate team that helps people reduce their footprint on the planet.

Q: What’s the most important lesson you've learned since joining the team?

I've learned a lot about commitment. Committing yourself to something you believe in, doing what you want to do, and following your own path.

Q: When did you first start thinking about solar?

I first started thinking about solar the summer of my freshman year, my dad worked for True South Solar doing designs. After graduating high school I realized what an amazing opportunity solar was, so I decided to try it myself.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in the sun?

Hanging out at the river and having a few beers in the sun. It doesn't matter what you're doing, it's always better in the sun.
