Q: What is your role on the True South Solar team?

I’m currently a licensed LRT (Limited Renewables Technician) Apprentice and take classes at Clackamas Community College to learn the trade. I am an installer and the lead for job site safety which is an important role on the crew. I started in July of 2017.

Q: What’s your favorite part of the job?

When all the pieces fall gently into place, and our team can bask in the warmth and glory of a one day installation.

Q: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned since joining the team?

Morale and personal cohesion is extremely important. Having quality workers outweighs a larger, cheaper workforce. These guys don’t cut corners. Quality is a major focal point of our crew.

Q: When did you first start thinking about solar?

I started thinking seriously about a career in solar in 2016 because of the sense of upward trajectory. The opportunity for personal and professional growth was highly appealing.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in the sun?

I enjoy gardening with my daughter and the variety that Southern Oregon has to offer.
